Course Description
Unless you live alone on a desert island, you are involved in some form(s) of relationship. Regardless of the type (spouses, partners, siblings, parent-child, etc.) each has common elements that will either enhance or sabotage the relationship’s success, thus affecting the quality of life.

Whether your relationship is not going well, OK but could be better, or great, this workshop is for you. In “Awakened Love – Creating Love, Light, and Laughter in Relationships” we demonstrate ways to awaken the true love that resides within us by exploring four key areas with tools to take your relationship(s) to new levels:

• Being: What makes us tick? Why does he/she/I do that? Your being creates your automatic responses, determining how you interact with other people and they with you.
• Integrity: What does it take to be whole and complete with each other, to be able to release grudges and resentments? Integrity addresses what to do with complaints from the past.
• Communication: In order to get our needs met, communication must be effective, and words are only as effective as we make them. We explore modes of conversation and tools that enhance connection and response..
• Conflict Resolution: Conflict happens! The trick is to handle it well so as to prevent permanent damage and to recover quickly, lovingly, and with new understanding about yourself and your partner.

A course binder, handouts, and suggested reading list will be provided along with homework practices to integrate the concepts you are learning.

Now in their sixth year of successful marriage, facilitators Jay and Janis Pullen bring a combined 40 years of partnering experience including the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Jay, with his bachelor’s degree in psychology and his master’s degree in organizational management, has owned and operated a remodeling business, partnered in building a homebuilding business, and co-designed a workshop business with his wife. Jay is also on the Board of Trustees at church and a writer.

Janis, with bachelor’ and master’s degrees in accountancy, worked in public and private accounting before joining Mary Kay Cosmetics, where she earned Senior Sales Director status and drove a pink Cadillac. She is a Certified Professional Coach with both US and international clients. She is also a published author and does executive and organizational coaching and training in addition to private and group coaching.
